Welcome to Southmoor Pediatric Dentistry in Centennial

Meet your Centennial pediatric dental experts
Centennial, get ready to smile. Dr. Olivia Zeitner, Dr. Zehra Zaid, and Dr. John Rubenstrunk are board-certified dentists specializing in the smiles of infants, children, teens, and young adults. With a constant focus on patient-centered care, it’s our goal for your child to have a positive experience every time they visit us.
Consider our team to be pediatricians for your child’s teeth, with years of additional, specialized dental training in child psychology, growth, and development. Your Centennial doctors are well-prepared to care for your child’s oral health needs through every life stage, from age 1-21. And we’re here for parents as much as we are for kids—building healthy smiles is a team effort.
Our Centennial office is near the intersection of East Dry Creek Road and South Yosemite Street off I-25, serving the areas of Centennial, Willow Creek, Lonetree, Acres Green, Castlewood, Cherry Knolls, Heritage Hills, and others. We are in the Southeast Pediatric Medical Center, near Cadence Academy Preschool and Callan Rose Early Learning Center. You’ll find our office alongside Children’s Eye Physicians, Sloss & Carpenter Orthodontics, Greenwood Pediatrics, and Children’s Hospital Colorado.
Our dental clinics are designed with kids in mind
At Southmoor Pediatric Dentistry, we do things differently and we vow to always focus on your child. It’s all part of our patient-centered approach, a true patient-first mentality that helps your child build a positive attitude about dental care and gives their smile the best possible start. We also work together with you as a parent, providing education and advice so your child can have a life-long positive attitude toward dentistry.

We can’t wait to meet you! Here’s what you can expect

Infant visit (age one)
The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends seeing a dentist for the first time by age one–even the tiniest of teeth need professional care. Your pediatric specialist will assess the growth and development of your child’s mouth (including any thumb-sucking or pacifier habits) and provide tips to help you keep their smile clean and healthy.

Toddlers and preschoolers
We do not expect your child to sit in a dental chair on their own or fully cooperate until at least preschool age, and it’s perfectly normal for young children to cry. Don’t worry, we’ve got this! Your care provider will likely perform a lap-to-lap or knee-to-knee examination with a parent or caregiver’s help, providing reassurance along the way.

Elementary to young adult
These are critical years for building a positive attitude about dental care, so we do everything we can to make your child feel welcome and comfortable during their visit. Your pediatric dentist will explain things in age-appropriate terms and show the instruments they’ll be using. And of course, parents are always welcome in the room.

Everyone at Southmoor made us feel so welcome during our first visit. The team also makes sure to explain everything very thoroughly during my son's appointments. You can tell they really care about each patient.

Southmoor Pediatric always has my children's best interests at heart and don't try to "oversell" on anything, ever. My children are always calm and happy during their appointments and enjoy each visit to the dentist.
